With Jesus Christ as our head, our servant leaders and staff strive to equip our members to make and mature disciples.


Jesus has given pastors (or elders) as gifts to lead, teach and care for the church. These are the men our congregation has recognized as elders according to the qualifications in Scripture.


Nathan K.

Pastor/Elder

Nathan came to faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 19. He is married to his wife Andria and they have two boys. Nathan completed his Masters of Divinity in 2007 after having worked in sales for 5 years prior to his time in seminary. He enjoys reading, watching baseball (St. Louis Cardinals), college football (Tennessee), experiencing history, and spending time with his family.

Nathan’s primary responsibilities consist of overall leadership and preaching.


Joey C.

Pastor/Elder

Joey and his wife, Page, are high school sweethearts and have two girls. Hailing from Atlanta, he went to Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) and then worked for Coca-Cola for five years. It was during that time Joey came to faith in Christ and was baptized. He then traded his office for the classroom to obtain his Masters of Divinity (2009). Joey likes to spend time with his family, hang out with friends, read good books, drink good coffee, and work out.

Joey provides pastoral oversight for our Community Groups and oversees all the day-to-day operations of the church.


Chris A.

Elder

Chris came to know Christ during his teenage years. After training/ working as an architect in the UK, Chris took a year out to do the Cornhill course (applied biblical studies) in London (2002) and then came to Washington to do an internship at CHBC (2003). Chris has worked as an architect in the city since then and met his wife during that time (married in 2006). They have two boys. Chris enjoys traveling and photography (and good coffee!).

Chris came to faith as a child growing up in Oregon. After college, he moved to DC to work in the U.S. Congress. He and his wife Felicity married in 2006, living on Capitol Hill before moving to Northwest DC and joining Restoration in 2015. Chris and Felicity have four children. Chris works in public policy and enjoys reading, Blazers’ basketball, and building legos with his kids.

Nic T.

Elder

Nic became a Christian while a teenager in Romania. He later went to college in Germany where he met his wife, Isabel. They got married while in graduate school in the US and have two little girls. Nic works in finance and enjoys math, economics, history and geopolitics, as well as traveling. Nic is passionate about seeing people from all cultures and ethnicities delight in Jesus Christ.

Deacons are servants that oversee specific practical areas inside the life of our church. These men and women have been recognized as deacons by our congregation according to the qualifications in Scripture.

Deaconess of Facilities

Felicity oversees the maintenance of our church building ensuring we responsibly steward this asset that the Lord has given to us.

Deacon of Bookstall

Owen manages everything necessary to purchase, organize, and sell the resources for our bookstall.


Stephen L.

Deacon of Ordinances

Stephen oversees the logistics for baptisms and the Lord’s Supper.


Rachel M.

Deaconess of Hospitality

Rachel schedules and coordinates various Sunday-morning service teams to ensure all members and guests are warmly welcomed to our worship gatherings.


Will T.

Deacon of Audio Production

Will provides oversight of the audio production team, facilitating the sound on Sunday mornings.


Frank M.

Deacon of Finance

Serving as the deacon in the Church Treasurer role, Frank reviews the church financials and provides an extra layer of accountability in how Restoration stewards our gifts from God.

Deaconess of Visual Production

Amy provides oversight of the visual production team, facilitating the visuals on Sunday mornings.



Connor N.

Deaconess of Music

Connor oversees the musicians, ensuring they are equipped and prepared to serve the congregation as we sing to the Lord and each other.

These men and women serve Restoration Church in various capacities by humbly using their God-given gifts to strengthen our faith family and advance the gospel.


Kathryn F.

Women’s Ministry Coordinator

Kathryn met the Lord and was baptized at a young age. While attending Christopher Newport University, she matured in her faith and came to a greater understanding of what it means to follow and trust in Jesus Christ. After undergrad, she moved to DC to study economics at the George Washington University. She worked for three years at a nonprofit doing research and program management before joining RC staff. She is married to Hector. They enjoy spending time with friends, adventuring around DC, and finding the best ice cream and coffee shops. Kathryn leads the women’s ministry at Restoration and handles various administrative responsibilities.


Lauren T.

RKids Ministry Coordinator

A friend in high school invited Lauren to a super bowl party where she heard the Gospel and came to faith in Christ. She attended Miami University where she met her husband, Will, and now they have a dog and two young tots. Lauren spent seven years working in sports medicine and physical therapy before transitioning to children’s ministry. She enjoys finding ways to help kids think, learn, and love Jesus, especially if those things involve bubbles, popsicles, or fruit snacks.  When she’s not working or chasing her own kids around, she is likely working out, reading, or trying to take a nap. Lauren oversees the children’s ministry at Restoration, ensuring our children are discipled toward Christ Jesus and parents are equipped.


Alejandro M.

Church Planter / Pastor

By God’s grace, Alejandro was saved when he was a child. Growing up in Venezuela, he went on to work in a cement factory for 17 years before becoming a pastor of Metro Bible Church in Lecheria. Alejandro recently moved to DC in 2016 to serve as a church planter and pastor of Iglesia Biblica Sublime Grace, a Spanish-speaking church in Columbia Heights.

He’s been happily married to Maribi since 1997, and they have one son and one daughter. He likes baseball, basketball, and scuba diving. He also likes to read good books on Apologetics, Puritan Legacy, Systematic Theology, and Church History.


Megan R.

Church Clerk

Megan, a California native, moved to DC for school where she met her husband Travis. She received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University. Megan currently works for Food for the Hungry. Megan has been a member of Restoration Church since 2011 and has loved being a part of the church as it has grown and matured. She enjoys running, traveling and reading good books. As Church Clerk, Megan keeps the Membership Directory updated and takes notes at the Members Meetings. Additionally, Megan serves in various ministries, including Restoration Kids and Hospitality.
